Etomidate

INDICATIONS:

 

  • Rapid Sequence Induction

 

DOSAGE:

 

ADULT:

 

  • 0.3 mg/kg slow IV push over 30 seconds

 

PEDIATRIC:

 

  • No approved

 

CONTRAINDICATIONS:

 

  • Known sensitivity to drug

 

SIDE EFFECTS:

 

  • Transient venous pain, skeletal muscle movement
